Bass fishing has been a part of Tyler Morgan’s life for about as long as he can remember. A native of Columbus, Georgia, Tyler started fishing local tournaments alongside his dad at just 9 years old and never looked back.

 

Growing up, Tyler played other sports, but fishing was always where he wanted to be. Eventually, everything else took a back seat. In Tyler’s words, he “eats, sleeps and breathes bass fishing.”

 

Tyler is a shallow-water power fisherman at heart. Give him a big rod, heavy line and shallow cover, and he’s right at home. That hard-nosed approach to fishing has helped him build an impressive tournament résumé over the years.

 

During his time competing in FLW/Major League Fishing events, Tyler recorded 4 career wins and 18 Top-10 finishes in 44 events, earning $47,797 in career winnings. He also qualified for the prestigious BFL All-American twice.

 

Tyler has continued his success fishing the Alabama Bass Trail alongside his tournament partner, Frank Bradfield, competing against fields of more than 200 teams. Together, they finished 6th in the South Division points in 2025 and 7th in 2026, demonstrating the consistency it takes to compete at a high level year after year.

 

But Tyler’s story goes beyond tournament finishes and statistics. His lifelong passion for bass fishing, extensive experience on the water and confidence in shallow-water power fishing make him a natural fit for Monkey Nutz Tackle Company.

 

Away from tournament competition, Tyler is proud to have the support of his wife, Megan Morgan, and their son, Waylon. Tyler hopes Waylon develops the same love and passion for bass fishing that has been such a major part of his own life.
